About Us

Pustak.co.in is India's largest online bookstore with over 12 million titles to choose from. We have offices in Bangalore and San Jose. The idea was conceptualized in November 2007 by Anand Rao.

Pustak is run by a team of seasoned professionals. Here is a brief introduction of them:

Anand Rao, Founder & CEO
Anand has held various roles in Business Development, Marketing & Sales in companies such as AMDL, the IL & FS Group and the Giga Information Group. He was one of the founding members of Amazon India. He was responsible for strategizing Amazon's business and long-term opportunities in India.

Bharat Vijay, Chief Advisor
Bharat's illustrious career includes setting up Yahoo! India and Amazon India Development Center. He was one of the first few employees of Yahoo! and has spearheaded Amazon's A9 Search initiative. Widely known and respected among the tech-elite, Bharat never ceases to amaze with his knowledge and regale us with his humour.

K Vijaya Raghavan, Mentor
Mr. Vijay Raghavan was the Founder and Managing Director of AMDL, a BSE-listed company. He was one of the pioneers in the IT landscape in India. He currently serves on the board of several IT companies.

S N Kumar, Director
Mr. Kumar was a Director of AMDL and used to head its flagship Medical Division. He currently serves on the board of many Medical Electronics companies.
